We were proud to support the restoration of Betley Court, an 18th<\/sup> century Grade II listed building in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, by supplying the roof slate used in its rebuild.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In August 2019, a devastating fire tore through Betley Court\u2019s main house, completely destroying the homes of the 20 residents and the beautiful 18th century building inside and out. Due to the scale of the damage, restoration work took several years to complete, with every detail carefully considered to respect the heritage of the building<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a Grade II listed property, preserving the original character was a key priority. This was especially important when selecting the bricks, stone, and roof slate<\/a> to ensure they stayed true to the original materials. Fortunately, as leading providers of natural slate roofing, our team worked closely with the contractors to advise on the best match and ultimately supplied our Vermont Structural Unfading Green slate<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n
