We were delighted to support the re-roofing of a private property in Penkridge, Staffordshire, by supplying our Ravendale 9-11mm Blue Grey slate along with matching ridge tiles and ancillary products.

The property, an established home with a striking stone façade, was beginning to show signs of age on the roof. When the customer, Roger Faulkner, first approached us, he was unsure whether natural slate was the right option. After many discussions and reviewing samples, we recommended our Ravendale Blue Grey slate, a product unique within the Brazilian slate range.
Roger was particularly impressed with the slate’s thickness and edge detail, which would complement the character of the property. Although his roofer initially had reservations about Brazilian slates, those concerns were quickly put to rest once the work began. The roofer praised the consistency, strength, and workability of the Ravendale, commenting that it was a pleasure to install compared with other products they had used in the past.
To ensure a uniform finish, we also supplied Ravendale natural slate capped ridge tiles, which provided continuity across the roof. These ridge tiles are also available in our Elterdale Grey Green slate and are a practical, good value option for many projects. In addition, we supplied our Permanent Red Breather membrane as part of the installation package.
