This stunning slate is extracted from ancient workings deep in the Lake District by traditional methods each piece is hand-finished on site, before starting it’s journey down the almost inaccessible mountain road, ready to be quality checked and packaged for delivery to you.
Lakeland High Tarn Green Slate is one of the hardest slates in the world, making it an excellent choice when unique beauty and durability are paramount.
Due to the extreme strength of the slate it cannot be split by hand and must be machined to its final Honed Finish. The flooring can be produced in many different size options, generally at 12mm thick. The most popular being a fixed coursing width of 200mm, 300mm or 400mm and then random lengths, usually upto 1000mm long. Set sized options are available in 300x300mm, 400x400mm and 450x450mm.
Other size options are available but subject to the availability of suitable raw block.
Because this stone is produced to order with a limited weekly production capacity. We reccomend that you ring prior to placing an order to confirm how quickly we can produce your order, typically this is 2-4 weeks from the date of order.
All Slate And Stone products should be sealed prior to use to prevent staining and ease regular maintenance.
